Oct-Mar 2007-08 Sketchbook

Aka the overdue sketch dump. In fact, less than half of this from the actual sketchbook, the rest is from the loose papers I drew on and stuffed under the cover/stacked in a pile. I finally got a new sketchbook a few days ago. As usual, it's arranged from oldest at the top to the newest at the bottom.

1. Villain from the Mademoiselle Vigilante project. His name is Emu. He pilots planes.

2. Harry Potter. That drawing of Ron cracks my sister up.

3. In my Ike-and-Elincia-only game of Path of Radiance, Elincia had Resolve and Adept. In was inspiring. After she got hit once, the only enemies with a chance of hitting her were the dragons and Ashnard, and even then it was in the 20s or 30s.

4. Niimei from Fire Emblem: Sword of Seals (Or Binding Blade as SSBB called it oh ho ho). She is Hugh's grandmother. Hugh and his family rock.

5. Drawn while watching my sister play Twilight Princess.

6. Truman [link] feelin' dandy.

7. I'd only drawn a snow leopard once before and needed to figure it out. Finally got it with the bottom right head.

8. I jotted down a lot of recipes I was experimenting with. They were accompanied by obligatory Oscar and Tanith doodles. From Path of Radiance. PLAY IT.

9. Nullify from Mademoiselle Vigilante. Lookin' way too young.

10. Mist from Path of Radiance. I love her oversized boots. You know she got hand-me-downs from Ike or Boyd.

11. A tiny, rare ink doodle of Marvel's Valkyrie. Why is ink so difficult?!

12. Tethys and Marisa from Sacred Stones. Trying to figure out something to draw for them. Took forever until I settled on this [link] I guess drawing people gettin' their mack on is not my specialty.

13. DUDE I TOTALLY FORGOT WE HAD THIS PLOT WHERE THE THIEVES WERE MAKING MOONSHINE UNTIL I SAW THIS. I LOVE THOSE THIEVES.

14. A dragon in not my usual style.

15. I love how this tiger looks.

16. VERY early drawing of Drakken on a pogo stick while I was learning how to draw the Kim Possible characters. Vague lair and Shego playing solitaire barely visible.

17. These were drawn from pauses during some episodes. Some improvisations with stuff off screen. Crazy-lookin' Shego holding a barrel over her head (so cool!) and the Kim to the right are Naked Genius I think. Bottom left Kim is the second episode of A Sitch in Time. Bottom-right Kim is unmistakably from The Golden Years. She made that awesome Rage!Kim face about a dozen times in a single minute.

18. All but the Kims+Ron at the very bottom right are from Mind Games. I love this page. These are from when I was practicing Kim and Shego and holy crap Kim's hair is a pain to draw. Gotta bajillion of pages like these.

19. Haha oh Emotion Sickness. "NOBODY DUMPS KIM POSSIBLE!!" Except I drew her with the cargos on because that's what I was trying to get used to.

20. AND FINALLY I start drawin' the Kim Possible characters from memory. And I never stop. In particular Drakken and Shego in bowling gear. Because they go bowling. With the henchmen.

21. Shego right after Emotion Sickness oh ho ho

22. Not once in all of their four lair-infiltratin' seasons did Kim or Ron have to stand on the other's shoulders.

23. Learned to draw Team Go. Mego cracks me up so dang much we did not get to see enough of him.

24. BOWLING WITH THE HENCHMEN.

25. Thank you Order of the Stick [link] for giving us paladins on sharks. Those two guys at the bottom left are attorneys in the Vigilante-verse. And then Sozoku at an arcade machine.

26. And then I had to get familiar with Kim's NEW mission outfit. Miss the cargos, but she looks great in the purple.

27. Minerva. She and Sozoku got shorter as time went on.

28. So I want to redesign Captain Awesome [link] because I came up with his first look back when he was supposed to be rarely-seen transparent Superman parody. Then I remembered one of the big reasons Vivian is the only crimefighter in Juno who wears spandex is because I CAN'T DESIGN SPANDEX SUPERHERO COSTUMES. I've still gotten NOWHERE with this.

29. Adeline (Mademoiselle Vigilante herself) and Vivian. Somehow Vivian has a lot of guys falling for her.

30. This was just so I could draw Dr. Drakken topless.

31. Cyrene (Mademoiselle Vigilante project) in some sort of gladiator gear. My sister loves to remind me how much she hates her usual armour.

32. This is actually from my new sketchbook! It's the view from hall outside the courtroom I was in. 7th floor, right next to be a big freeway interchange.
