Ah, I lied! I did crack open ol' Painter once in the year to do the traditional doodles for the family. This year's theme was dragons, which I'm sure everyone was impressed by how long I lasted before dipping into that. And how could I resist? My mom's always been a fan of Maleficent, and my dad, though he tried, couldn't hide his soft spot for Toothless. Unfortunately I was on a time budget and couldn't spend time figuring out how to get the wings right or the proper way to color/shade him and just sort of flat-texture fudged it.

I also just now remembered when I was here last, I was scanning my sketchbook! But half-way though my computer crashed and I lost all my work. Dag.

It's both incredibly telling and INCREDIBLY hilarious that your dawgs ruining Christmas has become a running gag for Christmas gifts. But then again, Santa has Jack-esc proportions himself? SUBTLE PARODY, PERHAPS? MIND SCREW?

In other news HOLY CRAP MAN I love those flames! While I admit it's very hard to draw MaleficentDragonMode without making her look imposing and badass, you've managed to capture it and distill it! Plus, I just like how you use translucent coloring in general for these sorts of things. And it sounds like Toothless was a pain, but you did manage get the really cute in a faux-intimidating way. Aaw.

Also, I love how there's a color-scheme similarity between your parents cards! MORE MIND SCREW?
